Serendipitous encounters between people who know each other well, sort of well, and not at all. People of every type, and with every type of agenda, trying to meet up with others who share that same agenda. An environment that’s alive at all hours, populated by all types, and is, most of the time, pretty safe. What he was saying, really, was that New York had become the Web. Or perhaps more, even: that New York was the Web before the Web was the Web, characterized by the same free-flowing interaction, 24/7 rhythms, subgroups, and demimondes.

Moving to New York - The Wombats
I turn 29 in a little over 6 weeks and have to decide between now and then if I’m going to stick with my current plans which have the next 1 year and 6 weeks to come to fruition or if I just cut the strings now to get the fuck out of here and leave for the world in 6 weeks instead.

On top of being there to meet rad tumblr peeps it really seem like New York is full of cool smoking hot girls who are looking for guys.
And before anyone says: Anthony, you’re too smart and way too humble to be that presumptuous.
Lets just remember that I’ve watched Flight Of The Conchords and know that having a funny Australian accent or at least a convincing attempt at a New Zealand accent is all I need NYC.

I live in Australia but the New York Tumblr party is enough reason for me to move overseas without any job prospects/friends/rational explanation/etc etc.
If your dashboard has not been inundated with photos and comments between tumblrs from the night to convince you to make a life speed bump move then you’re just not following enough of the cool kids from this internet posse. Shame on you.
