How can someone who’s so socially awkward make a social networking site?

Wouldn’t that be why he created a social networking web site? Have a profile that makes himself look cool and a system to meet girls. There is no way a confident 19 year old guy living the American college dream at frat parties etc. is building Facebook. I can’t help but think about the conversation Lester Bangs had with William in Almost Famous…

That’s because we’re uncool. And while women will always be a problem for us, most of the great art in the world is about that very same problem. Good-looking people don’t have any spine. Their art never lasts. They get the girls, but we’re smarter.
