On Listening
I started this Tumblr in part to have a place where I can publicly acknowledge people in my life that inspire me to be more.
I love extrordinary listeners. They create an amazing space, where you get to share yourself and then feel understood. And while everyone agrees on how great that is, *really* listening is not always easy.
Ken Auletta, John Heilemann and Art Chang inspire me to listen. They create an environment that is comfortable, open and where the conversation and thoughts flow naturally.
I guess it’s not surprising that Ken and John are writers/journalists, but you don’t have to be one to listen well.
