I have no music cred

Even though I adore music - all types, live, in bed, on the deck on a Sunday afternoon or in the car driving to the GC. I just listen to stuff which sounds good. Makes sense to me but music snob mates of mine go Oh Anthony. Whatever.

Anyway. I’m co-hosting the evening program on ABC Brisbane and ABC local radio Queensland Statewide next Friday night. Yay for me. However, I will need to choose a few songs for the night’s play list. Obviously a super important thing to get right. Which is why I spent 7 hours last night consuming a couple of bottles of red with my flatmates going through my CDs, my iPods and the intermaweb. These are the songs I’ve shortlisted but somehow it has to be cut it back to just 3 tracks.

‘Tis ABC local radio, not The Jays or Dig, so I have to keep it restrained. No rainbow mouthed lyrics and nothing to scare the oldies. There is a slight ex-pat feel to some of the songs for the Queenslanders listening to the program from overseas via the web stream.
