– The Web 2.0 economy hangs in limbo (via pete) Do you know how much I wish there was someone else’s cash to burn on the web in Australia? I remember talking to some young guys at the Internet Industry Association’s gala dinner in maybe 2003. These were all people who went through the...

Colbert talks about Obama
Larry King: Give me your assessment of Barack Obama. Where he's come from, what he's done, what he's accomplished. He is a political phenomena.
Stephen Colbert: He's an inspiring candidate. And he's got the young people out there just eating out of the palm of his hand. He's passing his hope bong around the drum circle of young America.
Larry King: His what?
Stephen Colbert: His hope bong, Larry. He's inviting people to take deep tokes off of his bong packed with hope.

– Stephen Colbert There are very few things in life that give me more joy than watching either Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart. My love for Colbert peaks whenever there is a meeting of his character with people in reality. Watch Colbert on Larry King last night - 1, 2, 3, 4.

– Jon Stewart on The Daily Show (reblogged via peterwknox + asprettyasasong) Though, he is always stealing my jokes. Honest. If you squint they sort of look similar. Also, squashed has a good post on the subject The Elite and the Elitist.

Mr Kohnstamm, whose book is titled Do Travel Writers Go To Hell? said yesterday that he had worked on more than a dozen books for Lonely Planet, including their titles on Brazil, Colombia, the Caribbean, South America, Venezuela and Chile. In one case, he said he had not even visited the country he wrote about. “They didn’t pay me enough to go to Colombia,” he said. ...

Arrington vs. Cashmore: Tech titans clash in Hollywood via caro. Don’t waste your time reading it. The clash was just one blogger who had a party kicking the other blogger out of the venue. Industry tiffs are fun. Would be happening in almost every city, every day and in every industry. But I doubt when this sort of thing happens with rival real estate agents in Sydney or competing...

Those apples are good and ripe.
topherchris replies to my feature request: Srsly you guys, get out of my head. Srsly. I think that’s a cool idea. My version couldn’t be as slick and integrated as DavMar’s version obviously, but what if it worked like this: You go to a site, and do a one-time action so that it’ll monitor your feed for a special phrase that you put before a question. So, your feed is read and it’ll pluck out...

You know what would be an excellent tumblr...
If when you post a question it gets sent to a special public section sort of like the radar where all tumblrs could read it instead of only your followers. Then you would have a larger pool of possible respondents and a better chance to get your question answered. David? Marco? Done by tomorrow maybe? Kthnxbye.
